General information, not an assessment of your site.
These terms cover the use of headlandsafety.com. They are not the terms of an engagement — that is a separate signed agreement — and nothing published here is safety, legal or regulatory advice for your operation.
Using this site means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. They apply to every page on headlandsafety.com, the contact form included.
What the content is
Everything published here — service descriptions, the approach pages, training outlines, any article — is general information about how Headland Safety works. It describes methods in the abstract. It says nothing about your facility, because we have not seen it.
It is not:
- a safety, health or environmental assessment of your operation
- a determination that you comply, or fail to comply, with OSHA, EPA, DOT or any state or local requirement
- legal, engineering or medical advice
- a substitute for a qualified person looking at your actual equipment, processes and workforce
Hazards are specific to a site. Nothing written for a general audience can identify the ones in your plant, and reading this site discharges none of the duties you hold as an employer. If you act on something here without an assessment of your own operation, that decision is yours.
Engagements
Reading the site, downloading a document or sending an enquiry does not create a consultant-client relationship and obligates neither of us to anything. Nothing here is an offer capable of acceptance. No scope, rate or availability described on the site is binding.
Work starts when there is a written agreement or an accepted proposal signed by both parties. Where that agreement and this page conflict, the agreement governs the work.
Messages you send us
Send what we need in order to answer the question. Do not send confidential incident files, personal medical information, privileged material or anything under a protective order through the contact form — it travels as ordinary email and is not a secure channel.
What you do send, we treat as confidential business correspondence and use to answer you. The privacy notice sets out what happens to it. Do not use the form for advertising, solicitation or automated submissions.
Who owns the material
The text, images, marks, layout and code on this site belong to Headland Safety, LLC or are used with permission.
Read the site, print pages, share links to it, and quote a short passage with attribution and a link. What needs written permission first: republishing pages, copying the material into your own documents or training, reselling it, or using it to train a model or build a competing service.
Training material and deliverables produced during an engagement are covered by that engagement's agreement, not by this page.
Use that is not permitted
- Scraping, crawling or harvesting the site at a rate or scale that burdens it, or collecting the contact details published on it by automated means
- Probing, breaching or interfering with the site, its hosting or the contact endpoint
- Transmitting anything malicious through any part of it
- Presenting yourself as Headland Safety, or implying a relationship, endorsement or accreditation that does not exist
- Using the site to break any law that applies to you
Availability and accuracy
We keep the site accurate and current. We do not warrant that it is either. Content goes out of date, particularly anything touching a regulation. Regulations change, and the authoritative text is the one the agency publishes, not our summary of it.
The site is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change or remove anything on it without notice.
Links to other sites
Where we link off the site — LinkedIn, a regulator, a standards body — we do not control what is there and are not responsible for it. A link is not an endorsement. Those sites run under their own terms and their own privacy practices.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Headland Safety, LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Liability for work performed under an engagement is governed by that engagement's agreement, not by this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of this site or these terms belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in South Carolina, and you agree to that venue.
If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version on this page is the one in force, and the effective date at the top says when it took effect. Using the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
