Defined scope. Stated deliverables.
Seven engagements, grouped by the decision you are making. Every one is scoped, priced and bounded before the work starts — including what it does not cover.

Outside Headland's scope
Headland is an industrial professional-services firm, not a specialist engineering or environmental consultancy. The following is referred to a qualified specialist, subcontracted to one who owns the technical deliverable, or coordinated by Headland while the specialist owns the work.
- Environmental permitting, air-emission calculations, and environmental modeling
- Engineering design and professional certification
- Arc-flash studies, fire-protection engineering, and electrical engineering
- Machine-design engineering
- Industrial-hygiene sampling requiring specialist expertise
- Technical exposure determinations
- Process engineering and detailed process-safety engineering
- PHAs where Headland is expected to serve as the technical process expert
Why this is on the services page
A consultancy that will not tell you what it is bad at has not told you much. Stating the boundary before the work starts is cheaper for everyone than discovering it halfway through an engagement.
Where a project needs specialist technical work, Headland will say so, name what is required, and either refer it or bring in a qualified subcontractor who owns that deliverable.
Not sure which of these you need?
Describe the situation. We will tell you which engagement fits, or that none of them do.
